Earthjustice exchanges our donor file with like-minded organizations. Donors are free to opt-out of this information exchange at any time. You can do so by emailing info@earthjustice.org or contacting Membership Services at 800-584-6460. Anyone who opts out of all Earthjustice mailings is also opted out of our donor list exchange.
The Privacy Policy on Earthjustice’s website includes more information about our information exchange: “We also exchange our mail and/or email address lists with like-minded organizations — many of which we represent through our environmental legal and advocacy work. As we are a nonprofit, it is important for us to reach others who may be interested in our work and expand our wonderful community of supporters like you. This is usually done through a third party that consolidates various organizations’ mail and/or email lists for use by us and sister nonprofits.”
We always strive to honor our supporters' preferences, and we work to be compliant with all privacy regulations. Our Privacy Policy and practices will be updated as relevant data privacy laws change.
Why does Earthjustice exchange donor information?
Earthjustice is part of a cooperative of organizations that share donor information. The main reason why organizations share lists is to reduce mail costs. We strive to be as fiscally responsible as possible and this is one of the ways in which we achieve that goal.
